The Impulse Summit is a student-run sports business conference held annually at the SQUARE. Organized by the Impulse Network, it brings together around 300 participants from sport, business, politics, and academia to discuss the future of the sports industry. The 2025 edition, taking place on 30–31 October, is themed #TheNextBillionFans and explores how sports can reach new audiences in an evolving global landscape. Over two days, experts, students, and innovators engage in interactive panels, workshops, and networking sessions on topics such as athlete branding, AI and data use, sustainability, fan engagement, and the franchising of European sports. A distinctive element is the start-up competition, where emerging ventures in sports tech pitch to industry leaders. The summit also features a “Global Talents” programme, inviting selected students to participate in a five-day preparatory journey before the event. Its informal yet professional atmosphere, supported by the open architecture of the SQUARE, encourages genuine dialogue across generations and disciplines. By combining forward-looking themes, interdisciplinary perspectives, and close interaction between students and professionals, the Impulse Summit has established itself as a dynamic platform shaping the next era of sports business innovation.
