RISE is a flagship initiative of the Social Business Club at the University of St. Gallen, designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world impact. The program brings together motivated students and forward-thinking companies to collaborate on pressing challenges in sustainability, innovation, and responsible business.
Over the course of approximately two weeks, interdisciplinary teams of students work intensively on real case studies provided by partner organizations. These challenges reflect current strategic questions faced by companies operating in areas such as sustainable transformation, digital innovation, and responsible growth.
Throughout the program, students receive input and guidance from experienced professionals, academics, and industry partners. Introductory sessions equip participants with the fundamentals of consulting and structured problem-solving, while company representatives provide context and feedback on their respective case studies.
The program culminates in a final event where teams present their solutions to company representatives and a panel of judges. The best-performing teams are recognized and awarded, followed by a networking apéro that fosters exchange between students, professionals, and organizers.
