OverviewEvents
Our purpose is to make you a confident speaker and a capable leader through practice rather than theory. Toastmasters St. Gallen is an educational club where students develop public speaking and leadership skills in a supportive, light-hearted and diverse environment. At our weekly meetings, every member speaks, listens and evaluates. You work through structured educational materials at your own pace and receive honest feedback from the room after every speech. Over a semester this becomes measurable: clearer thinking on your feet, sharper listening, and the ability to give and take criticism without flinching. Leadership works the same way. Members organise and run the meetings themselves and complete projects covering planning, motivating and team building. Beyond the weekly format, experienced practitioners run quarterly workshops on specific skills such as body language and speech writing, free and open to the entire university. We are part of Toastmasters International, a global non-profit dedicated to helping people of all backgrounds build confidence as speakers and leaders. Membership gives you its full educational programme and access to clubs worldwide. Meetings take place weekly in Rm. 09-011 and your first three visits are free. Reach us at [email protected] or toastmasterssg.com. Improve communication by speaking and leadership by leading. Join us at the next meeting.
