The ETA Club at the University of St. Gallen is pleased to welcome Dr. Torben Antretter for an introductory session into Entrepreneurship through Acquisition. Dr. Antretter is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at ITEM-HSG and GCEI-HSG, and lectures on Entrepreneurial Finance at the University of St. Gallen.
He will introduce students to the fundamentals of ETA: what search funds are, how the acquisition process typically unfolds, and why buying an existing business can be a compelling alternative to founding a startup or joining a traditional career path. Drawing on his research in entrepreneurial finance and his own experience founding and scaling a company, he will share both the academic perspective and practical realities of the model.
